Understanding the importance of Trade-Offs To Your Advantage

As you know, life has many intersections, opportunities to go up in your business or down. At this intersection we make choices. We can add something to our life,, subtract from it or exchange something we have for something we don’t have.
Trade-offs

The most successful people know when to do each one of those three. Everybody makes trade-offs throughout their life, whether they know it or not. The question is whether you are going to make good ones or bad ones.
In general I believe that…

  • Unsuccessful people make bad trade-offs.
  • Average people make few trade-offs
  • Successful people make good trade-offs

In this post, I will share some insight I hope will help you to understand trade-offs ,spot them and use them to your advantage.

Learn to see Trade-offs as opportunities.

Nothing creates greater gap between successful people and unsuccessful people than the choice we make. Too often, people make life more difficult for themselves because they make bad choices. Remember that we don’t always get what we want, but we always get what we choose. Good Trade-offs are not something to be endured.

That reflects a passive attitude and a mindset that says, I hope this turns out all right. Instead, positive trade-offs should be seen as opportunities for growth and seized. After all you will become better as a result of them. When you grow through change, you will become active; you will be in the position to take control of your attitude and emotion. You end up becoming positive change agent in your own life.

A sign of Wisdom and maturity is when you come to terms with the realization that your decisions cause your reward and consequences. You are responsible for your life and your ultimate success depends on the choices you make. Denis Waitley.

Trade-Offs will help you make Difficult Personal Changes

Often you hear people expressing the hope that things will change. I want to tell them, that the difference between where they are and where they want to be are created by the changes they are willing to make in their lives. When you want something you must do something to get it, otherwise you keep getting the same results.

Any changes you want to make begin with the willingness to make personal changes, it is not easy, but is will take you to the next level. Change is possible and anyone can change. If you are not willing to make difficult changes necessary to become successful you will not reach the position to help others.

Most Trade-Offs Can Be Made at Anytime

There are many trade-offs in your business that can be made at any time. For example, giving up bad habits to acquire good ones anytime you have the will power to make decision. In my opinion procrastination is not a good habit, because you don’t take actions as you should, when you keep putting task aside to be done on later day instead of doing at that moment.

I've made more than my share of poor trade-offs, but I have made many U-turns and recovered. So when it comes to choices never say never, life is full of rich possibilities, Stop restricting yourself.

Few Trade-Offs Comes Only Once

The circle of change gives a window of opportunity in which to make decisions, sometimes that circle only goes around once. Miss it and the opportunity is gone. There is one point In the history of many successful people, they had to change dramatically to rise to the next level. Miss that moment, they start to decline.

To conclude, Have you thought about the trade-offs you are making? Have you developed guidelines to help you decide what to strive for and what to give up in return? Think about worthwhile trade-offs you have made in the past that you believe will continue to be good ideas for the future. Also consider what might be needed for you to reach your potential along with what you might need to give up fulfilling it.

What trade do you need to make right now that you have been unwilling to make? Most people settle in and learn to live with a limitation or barrier that can be removed by making a trade. What is the next thing you need to trade for? And what must you give up to get it?

It is important to know what you are willing to give up as it is to identify what you are not willing to give up. Think through the things that are non-negotiable in your life and list them. Then for each, identify its greatest potential threat and what safety measures you need to put in place to protect it.

Understanding these trade-offs will also help you make decision between efficiency and effectiveness in your network marketing business.
